Job summary

JUXT is seeking experienced Forward Deployed Engineers to evangelize Continuous Delivery, automated testing, and safe automated deployments. The role blends Software Engineering, DevOps and SRE, with roughly 70% hands-on coding and configuration.

You will engage development teams to improve release cadence, build robust test suites, containerize apps, and upgrade runtimes and dependencies. Expect emphasis on security, observability, and scalable deployment practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in TDD across multiple frameworks.
• Ability to architect automated testing strategies and drive outcomes.
• Strong experience with JVM languages and TypeScript.
• Write high quality, maintainable code with good taste.
• Understand secure coding practices for critical systems.
• Hands-on with multiple CI/CD systems.
• Wamiliar with AI-assisted coding approaches.

Responsibilities

• Engage development teams to improve release cadence and vulnerability resolution.
• Build and maintain test suites and smoke tests for deployments.
• Source and integrate test data; implement data masking in lower environments.
• Upgrade runtimes and dependencies to latest major versions.
• Containerize applications where feasible and manage deployments.
• Automate database changes with Liquibase and configurations with Ansible.
• Improve observability, logging, and security patterns across services.
