Job summary

JUXT is seeking experienced Forward Deployed Engineers to evangelize Continuous Delivery, automated testing, and safe deployments. This hands-on role blends Software Engineering, DevOps and SRE, with roughly 70% coding and configuration.

You will engage development teams to improve release cadence, build test suites, upgrade runtimes, containerize apps, and enforce secure coding practices while using JVM languages and TypeScript, Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) across multiple frameworks.
• Excellent understanding of automated testing approaches and how to choose the best one (with AI support).
• Proficiency in JVM languages and/or TypeScript.
• Ability to write high quality, maintainable code.
• Understanding of secure coding practices for critical systems.
• Competent with multiple CI/CD systems.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Familiar with OpenShift/Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.
• Actively embracing AI coding practices.
• Experience with build tools such as Gradle, Maven, and npm.

Responsibilities

• Lead targeted engagements with development teams to improve release cadence.
• Build robust test suites and smoke tests for deployment.
• Incorporate data masking in non-production environments.
• Upgrade runtimes and libraries to current major versions.
• Containerize applications where feasible.
• Migrate to latest libraries and ensure seamless updates.
• Apply best practice source control and branch management.
• Improve code review processes and security patterns.
• Automate deployment processes including database changes.
• Introduce standard observability practices and improve logging.
