Job summary

MET Recruitment UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a private business in Cradley Heath. This hands-on role covers the day-to-day finance function, management accounts, payroll, and financial reporting, with responsibility for a small Accounts Assistant.

You will ensure strong financial controls, deliver timely management information, and support operational decisions with detailed analysis. On-site, full-time, salary £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end finance experience with ownership of the finance function.
• Experience as Finance Manager or similar role with greater responsibility.
• Excellent cashflow management and financial controls.
• Experience mentoring finance staff and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Review project profitability and cashflow.
• Oversee payroll, VAT, reconciliations and purchase ledger.
• Provide financial insight to support commercial decisions.
• Lead and develop Accounts Assistant.
• Coordinate weekly payment runs and funding.
