Job summary

CMD Recruitment seeks an Electro-Mechanical Assembler for an ongoing temporary role in Melksham, supporting the assembly and testing of safety-critical products for rail applications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical skills, experience with basic electrical components, and the ability to follow engineering drawings and instructions. You will join a global engineering business and contribute to high-quality assembly, wiring, and testing processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and basic electrical/electronic assembly.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings or instructions.
• Attention to detail with a quality-focused approach.
• Willingness to learn and use hand tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
• Wire and connect electrical/electronic parts per instructions.
• Follow drawings and specifications to meet quality standards.
• Use hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
• Identify faulty parts and carry out basic fault finding.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Work safely in a clean, organised work area.
