Job summary

ShareForce is seeking an experienced Data Science Lead on a 6-month contract to own four predictive models and transition data science capability in-house. You will work hands-on in Azure and Databricks, guide governance, and provide strategic direction to senior stakeholders.

The role combines leadership with practical data science delivery, requiring strong Python/SQL skills, a track record of model ownership, and the ability to drive tangible business outcomes during a critical capability

Qualifications

• Senior or lead-level data science experience.
• Full lifecycle of models: development, validation, deployment, monitoring.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience transferring knowledge from external partners.
• Regulated sector experience (financial services) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end four predictive models including deployment and monitoring.
• Lead transfer of knowledge from external partner into internal team.
• Work hands-on with data, Python, SQL to improve model performance.
• Improve model governance, lifecycle processes and explainability.
• Ensure models are documented, monitored and supported for sustainability.
• Advise senior stakeholders with clear business recommendations.
• Shape data science operating model within Azure and Databricks.
