Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a hands-on Contract Manager (Soft Services) to lead Cleaning, Security and Catering across three sites, including Oldham distribution centres and a corporate office.

This site-based role requires a visible leadership style, coaching Heads of Department, ensuring KPIs, budgets and client satisfaction daily. You will travel between sites and drive continuous improvement to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Extensive multi-site facilities management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cleaning, Security and Catering operations.
• Proven leadership of soft services teams.
• Strategic thinker with continuous improvement focus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and budgeting awareness.
• SIA Licence and IOSH qualification or willingness to obtain.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cleaning, Security and Catering operations across three sites.
• Act as visible operational lead, supporting Heads of Department.
• Drive standards, compliance and best practice in cleaning.
• Identify innovations to improve service delivery and customer experience.
• Coach and develop Heads of Department and frontline teams.
• Ensure contractual obligations, KPIs, SLAs and compliance are met.
• Build strong client relationships and act as trusted partner.
• Manage employee engagement, performance and succession planning.
• Own budgets, labour management and P&L performance.
• Prioritise time across sites to ensure visibility and consistency.
