Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is supporting a leading organisation in strengthening its Technical Operations team with an experienced Network Engineer. This hands-on role covers WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi and firewalls across datacentres, Azure and office/depot environments.

You'll work with Cyber Security, project teams and external partners, acting as a key escalation point for network issues and helping ensure the network remains secure, reliable and performing at its best.

Qualifications

• Hands-on network engineering across networking, security and cloud environments.
• Experience with Cisco ACI and Cisco FMG and Fortinet ecosystem.
• Ability to review designs and align with security standards.

Responsibilities

• Implementing and supporting network infrastructure across WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi and firewalls.
• Managing Cisco ACI, Cisco FMG and Fortinet ecosystem.
• Working with Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN gateways).
• Reviewing designs to ensure security policy compliance.
• Managing network security across firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC and segmentation.
• Escalation handling for complex network incidents and minimizing downtime.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and service providers on changes and roadmaps.
• Monitoring performance and identifying reliability improvements.
• Maintaining network configurations, topologies and documentation.
• Integrating new networking technologies and pursuing automation.
