Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions LTD is seeking an ATE Test Engineer (Hardware + LabVIEW) for a contract role outside IR35 in Gatwick, hybrid working. You will assemble and commission a production ATE rack, integrate the fixture and DUT interfaces, and develop the LabVIEW test application that runs on it.

The role requires hands-on electrical hardware debugging, integration of power, DAQ and test equipment, and on-site collaboration with production and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automated test equipment development.
• Strong LabVIEW development skills for production testing.
• Electrical hardware debugging and test instrumentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and commission a production ATE rack – power supplies, PC, touchscreen HMI, test hardware.
• Integrate barcode scanner, fixture interfaces, DUT harnesses and test accessories.
• Cable routing, labelling, continuity and insulation checks; basic electrical checks.
• Fit and align test fixture; conduct interface checks and maintenance improvements.
• Develop and debug LabVIEW production test application; handle data logging and prompts.
• Implement test data logging, results storage and production reporting; support builds.
• Cover digital I/O, relay outputs, analogue inputs and comms testing (Ethernet, RS232, RS485, CAN).
• Debug integration issues and support pilot builds through to manufacturing handover.
