Job summary

Thorn Baker Group is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a three-month contract on a new build housing development in Market Harborough, East Midlands. This full-time role will support site management to deliver safely, on time and to required quality.

Requirements include SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and a full driving licence; GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above are expected, with a construction management qualification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold SMSTS certificate and CSCS card.
• First aid certification is required.
• Full, clean driving licence is necessary.
• GCSEs English and Mathematics at grade C or above are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager in day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Monitor labour, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain productivity and quality.
• Coordinate site resources, materials, and equipment to meet milestones.
• Maintain accurate site records including daily reports and diaries.
• Support implementation of site safety procedures and promote safety culture.
