Job summary

BJAK is building AI-enabled email applications to help billions simplify workflows and reduce hallucinations. As Product Engineer, AI Email App, you will work at the intersection of user needs, ML capabilities, and engineering constraints.

You’ll own end-to-end requirements, collaborate with ML and engineering teams, and shape evaluation frameworks, trade-offs, and user experience. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals and system design knowledge.
• Solid understanding of modern ML and AI systems in production.
• Ability to read technical designs, understand architectures, and engage with engineers.
• Strong intuition for model limitations, hallucinations, evaluation, and failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end requirements for AI capabilities and user experience.
• Translate model capabilities and constraints into product and system decisions.
• Make trade-offs across quality, latency, cost, reliability, safety and UX.
• Collaborate with ML, backend, and client engineers on design, evaluation and iteration.
• Develop evaluation frameworks across offline metrics, online experiments, and human feedback.
• Establish clear quality bars and feedback loops for AI-powered experiences.
• Drive execution with clear specifications and prioritization.
• Identify failure modes and ensure AI systems behave predictably.
