A position has become available for a skilled and passionate Band 6 Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with some experience in Hand Therapy to join the Oxford Hand Therapy Unit. In this role, you will provide evidence-based assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for a varied caseload of patients. You will work closely with a team of experienced therapists and hand surgeons who specialise in Orthopaedics, Plastics, and Trauma at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the John Radcliffe Hospital. You will contribute to delivering high-quality care for patients with a wide range of hand conditions, including acute trauma, postoperative recovery from elective hand surgery, as well as conservative managed hand conditions and injuries.
We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist or occupational therapist eager to learn new skills in a supportive and friendly environment. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' postgraduate experience as a band 6 and some experience in hand therapy.
The Trust offers an excellent appraisal scheme and regular CPD training, including internal courses, journal clubs, joint working, and access to funding for external training or postgraduate study. Our team is dedicated to providing a structured and progressive pathway in hand therapy to become an Accredited Hand Therapist.
You will work as part of the Oxford Hand Therapy Team, providing musculoskeletal assessment, management, and treatment for patients referred for Hand Therapy. The unit is part of the physiotherapy department and runs clinics across the Trust, including at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and the Horton General Hospital.

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per year. Salary will be adjusted according to current salary if already a band 6.
