The NHS is offering a Band 6 position for an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist within the Medical HSEP team, focusing on patients living with frailty. This role involves working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, managing caseloads, and contributing to the development of staff through training and supervision.
The Medical HSEP (Health Services for Elderly People) team, specialising in working with patients living with frailty, is excited to be able to offer a Band 6 Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy post.
You will be joining a friendly, well established integrated therapy service, working alongside experienced colleagues and supported by experienced occupational therapists and physiotherapists as well as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Frailty, and Clinical Lead therapist. The postwill be based on the medical and HSEP wards, where you will be working alongside cohesive, supportive and forward thinking multidisciplinary teams.

You will need to be a dynamic team player with excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a broad range of experience. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical reasoning, organisational and prioritisation skills in order to manage a caseload effectively.
We are committed to supporting development of staff through training, supervision, joint sessions with therapists and appraisal. We have an established competency programme and you will be supported to work through these. Therapies provide a 7 day therapy service, and any successful applicant will be expected to participate in the rota (1 weekend in 6) as well as in the bank holiday cover (2 Bank holidays per year).
You will be joining an experienced multidisciplinary therapy team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitians and Therapy Support Workers, supported by a Clinical Lead Therapist and Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Frailty.
We offer a range of work-based learning opportunities including a regular in-service training programme and clinical supervision in all areas. We also offer a structured leadership programme and support for appropriate external training courses.
