Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Practitioner in Haematology to provide clinical leadership, expert knowledge in identification, assessment, treatment, and management of patients within this specialty.

You will contribute to clinical governance, supervise practice, and support colleagues through teaching, audits and evidence-based practice, helping to drive continuous improvement across services.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with valid NMC registration.
• First degree or working towards.
• Speciality qualification.
• Significant clinical experience within relevant setting.
• Evidence of professional development.
• Evidence undertaking a mentor/preceptor role.
• Experience in haematology and clinical governance.
• Trained in phlebotomy/IV therapy.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordination of patient care.
• Venepuncture and Cannulation.
• Contribute to teaching sessions for staff and patients.
• Communicate needs of client groups within MDT and Trust.
• Collect and collate data to support professional and operational bodies.
