Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior pharmacist to lead and clinically verify systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) regimens in line with BOPA standards across cancer day units and wards.

You will collaborate with Lead Pharmacists for Cancer Services to ensure high quality, patient-centred clinical pharmacy support, and liaise with MDTs to deliver expert haemato-oncology care at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within a pharmacy team or ward setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the MDT.
• Ability to present and disseminate complex information clearly.
• Proven organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Desire to drive clinical pharmacy standards in cancer services.

Responsibilities

• To clinically verify SACT regimens and prescriptions.
• To liaise with the multidisciplinary team to provide expert haemato-oncology advice.
• To support delivery of NHS Cancer Strategy and timely SACT delivery across sites.
• To obtain the BOPA SACT Passport and update local policies where needed.
• To work with procurement and outpatient pharmacies to ensure timely medication supply.
