Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Haematology Consultant with a specialist interest in Myeloid and General Haematology to join the Kings Mill Hospital team in Sutton In Ashfield. The post is part-time with a 1:6 on-call rota and flexible working arrangements.

The successful candidate will provide clinical and laboratory Haematology services, contribute to service planning, and may have occasional non-full-time arrangements. Applications close 29 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
• Fellowship of Royal College of Pathologists or show evidence of equivalent qualification
• Membership of Royal College of Physicians or show evidence of equivalent qualification

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and laboratory Haematology services.
• Participate in on-call Haematology service (1:6 rota).
• Engage in business planning of Haematology services with colleagues and management.
