Job summary

English Heritage is seeking a site-based Cluster Manager to lead the Hadrian's Wall team across Carlisle Castle, Birdoswald Fort, Housesteads Fort, Chesters Fort and Corbridge Roman Town. This permanent role is 36 hours per week with a strong leadership focus.

You will oversee a dispersed team, drive a c.£2.4 million income while controlling a £1.8 million budget, and develop partnerships with local authorities to deliver a safe, welcoming visitor experience across the Wall sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dispersed Hadrian's Wall team across multiple sites and departments.
• Deliver c.£2.4 million income while managing an expenditure budget of c.£1.8 million p.a.
• Act as Operational Client on the Project Board for multi-million-pound bids.
• Ensure high-volume visitor operation, safe and welcoming environments, and memorable experiences.
