Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals is recruiting a Site H&S Supervisor for the EGL1 Project based at Torness, Scotland, UK. You will implement HSE requirements, review risk assessments, and maintain site H&S documentation to meet project and statutory obligations.

You will lead HSE initiatives across the site, coordinate inspections and audits, investigate incidents, and deliver inductions and toolbox talks to promote a positive safety culture and compliance with CDM2015 and UK legislation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction HSE experience in infrastructure, power generation, energy, or EPC.
• Experience on major construction or industrial sites.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate.
• Membership of a professional body (e.g. IOSH) would be advantageous.
• Degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety is desirable.
• Good understanding of UK HSE legislation, CDM 2015, and construction safety practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent command of English, written and verbal.

• Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Delivering HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives as required.

We are currently looking for aSite H&S Supervisor to join theEGL1 Project team, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, based in Torness, Scotland, UK.

Your role will encompass:

• Implementing HSE requirements and ensuring compliance with project, client, and statutory obligations.

What you bring to the role:

• Minimum 3–5 years of construction HSE experience, preferably within large-scale infrastructure, power generation, energy, or EPC projects.
• Experience working on major construction or industrial sites.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate, NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent HSE qualification.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IOSH) would be considered an advantage.
• Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline is desirable.
• Good understanding of UK HSE legislation, CDM Regulations 2015, and construction safety practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and drive a positive safety culture across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
