Job summary

JD Gyms in Watford is seeking a Duty Manager to support the day-to-day running of the club, lead a small team, and ensure a safe, welcoming experience for members. You will work closely with the management team to meet membership and revenue goals while upholding JD Gyms brand standards.

The role requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings and weekends, a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification, and a proven ability to motivate colleagues and deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting colleagues within a leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environment.
• Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor
• Experience contributing to membership growth, commercial performance, local marketing initiatives and team development.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day operational running of the club, including opening and closing duties where required.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, in line with business needs.
• Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
