Job summary

Riverside leisure club seeks a part-time, on-site Gym Supervisor to support daily operations and act as Duty Manager when the General Manager is away. You will deliver exceptional customer service to members and help drive membership growth.

Essential qualifications include First Aid and Level 2 Gym Instructor, with at least 1 year in a leisure supervisor role. Benefits include gym membership and on-site parking.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in day-to-day gym operations.
• Act as Duty Manager in the Manager's absence.
• Organise tours and promote memberships.
• Organise events to recruit members.
• Open/close club; early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Record and monitor safety checks; report hazards.

Accountable to: General Manager Responsible for: Gym Members Hours: 15-30 hours per week - weekends required.

Job Purpose

To support the General Manager is running the facility day to day and acting as a duty manager when the General Manager is away. To deliver exceptional customer service to our members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in the day to day smooth running and administration of the gym.
• Act as Duty Manager for the Gym, in the absence of the Manager.
• Responsible for targeting improvements in service level delivery.
• Record and monitor daily safety checks on all equipment, report any hazards and ensure cleaning tasks are completed.
• To ensure any potential hazards are reported to the Manager.
• To arrange tours of the facilities and the "selling" of memberships.
• To organise and facilitate events to recruit new and lapsed members.
• Open and Close the club. Early Morning/Evenings/Weekends will be required.
• 6am-10pm Monday - Friday Opening Hours / 8am-8pm Weekend Opening Hours.

• To be competent and confident in the use of all equipment in the gym.
• Valid First Aid qualification essential.
• Valid Level 2 Gym Instructor essential.
• Level 3 Personal Trainer desirable.
