Job summary

Horizon Leisure Centres is seeking a dedicated Gym Instructor to join our Guildford team. You will oversee gym operations, support members to reach fitness goals and deliver engaging group classes.

The role requires patient instruction, safety focus, and a proactive customer-first approach. The position based in Guildford may involve travel to other company sites as needs arise; a 40-hour week is standard with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Gym Instructor Level 2 qualification and First Aid certification.
• Desirable: Personal Trainer Level 3 and Exercise Referral Level 3 to broaden service delivery.
• Ability to engage a diverse member base and deliver safe group classes.

Responsibilities

• Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions.
• Carry out gym appointments with new and existing customers.
• Deliver group exercise classes within the gym.
• Supervise teen gym sessions and provide support to younger members.
• Proactively engage with members on classes, forthcoming events, promotions and gym challenges.
• Help and assist members with questions and queries.
• Ensure the gym and fitness equipment is kept clean and is in a safe condition.
• Carry out any other tasks as required by the Gym Manager.

Your Role

As a gym instructor you will be responsible for overseeing the gym; maintaining a safe and clean environment and supporting gym-goers to achieve their health and fitness goals

This role will be based at Guildford but will be expected to travel to other company site as the need requires.
