Job summary
Soho House in Brighton is seeking a Gym Supervisor to oversee daily gym and fitness facilities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a first-class member experience. You will lead the fitness team on the floor, model great service, and help maintain a welcoming, high-energy environment.
The role covers supervising activities, supporting staff, managing equipment, and assisting with inductions and events. Level 2 Gym Instructor is essential; Level 3 PT desirable.
Qualifications
- Experience in a fitness or gym supervisory role.
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification essential; Level 3 Personal Trainer desirable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily gym activities and ensure a clean, safe, welcoming environment.
- Support and motivate the fitness team to deliver excellent service.
- Monitor gym equipment, report faults promptly and follow up on repairs.
- Lead by example on the gym floor, guiding equipment use and fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures including risk assessments.
- Assist with induction of new members and advise on safe exercise techniques.
- Organise and support fitness events, classes and challenges to drive engagement.
- Assist with rotas and cover shifts as required.
