Job summary

Mount Hutt College, a friendly rural college located in Methven, seeks a professionally registered Guidance Counsellor or Social Worker to join our Guidance Team. The successful applicant will work closely with the Head of Guidance, Deputy Principals and our Deans to support student wellbeing and resilience in our school.

This role is for 2–3 days per week, commencing Term 1, 2027, and offers a collaborative, supportive environment within a close-knit community.

Qualifications

• Professionally registered Guidance Counsellor or Social Worker.
• Experience in student wellbeing and resilience.
• Ability to work with a school Guidance Team and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Head of Guidance, Deputy Principals and Deans to support student wellbeing.
• Provide counselling and support services to students.
• Contribute to the school wellbeing programme.
