Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott York is seeking a hotel restaurant team member to serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests in line with service standards. You will set tables for events, answer menu questions, and communicate with the kitchen about queries, times, and availability.

You will record orders on the POS, monitor guest satisfaction, maintain cleanliness, and handle closing duties, including restocking and preparing the bill for payment.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and alcoholic beverages to guests according to hotel service standards.
• Set tables according to event type and service requirements.
• Answer questions regarding menu selections and communicate with kitchen on queries and timings.
• Record orders accurately using the hotel's POS system.
• Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with food courses and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of work areas and equipment.
• Complete closing duties and restock supplies.
• Present guests with an accurate bill and process payments.
• Follow health, safety, and security policies; report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure professional uniform and presentation and protect guest and hotel information.
