Job summary

Jarrodean Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a residential childcare worker for a service in Guernsey, Channel Islands. The post involves maintaining a safe, structured daily routine in a home for children up to 18, with duties spanning administration, domestic tasks, and direct support for education, health and wellbeing.

The role requires a clean driving licence, at least two years’ residential childcare experience, and NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Health and Social Care (or higher).

Qualifications

• Clean current driving licence.
• At least two years full-time residential childcare experience.
• NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care, or higher.
• Strong organisational, literacy and numeracy skills with clear records.
• Ability to work within a team and autonomously with integrity.
• Role model for Children and Young People; encourage participation.
• UK or Irish citizen or UK permanent resident/ILR; no sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily routine in the home including admin and domestic tasks.
• Support Young People to attend appointments and develop self-reliance.
• Provide guidance for education, health and wellbeing to help reach potential.
• Based in a home environment offering safe, secure accommodation up to age 18.
