Our Trainee Scheme offers graduates the chance to learn from some of the most respected legal professionals in the Channel Islands and work towards becoming an England & Wales qualified lawyer, via the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route.
This two-year paid programme is designed to provide a comprehensive and well-rounded introduction to legal practice. Trainees will rotate through our core legal departments, as well as gain exposure to key support teams, developing a thorough understanding of how a leading law firm operates.
Throughout the programme, you’ll benefit from structured training, supervision and support in both your studies and practical experience. This includes a dedicated SQE preparation course, as well as paid time off to prepare for and sit the SQE examinations.
We provide a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages learning, development and long‑term professional growth while you complete your qualifying work experience.
Upon successful completion of the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role with the firm, providing a strong foundation for a rewarding legal career.
As this is a highly competitive programme, we are looking for individuals with a genuine passion for law, strong academic ability, and the drive, initiative and communication skills to succeed.
Applicants must be locally qualified residents and either hold, or be on track to achieve, a 2:1 degree or above.
We are now accepting applications for our September 2027 intake.
Applications close on 12 February 2027.
