Job summary

WP Group's Airport Energy team is seeking a GSE refuelling technician to check and replenish Diesel and HVO for Ground Service Equipment at Heathrow Airport. The role supports the safe distribution of fuels across airside and landside operations, delivering high productivity and always meeting safety standards.

You will join a night-shift pattern 41 hours 40 minutes across 4 on 4 off cycles, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and reliable data input.

Qualifications

• Class 2 HGV licence is required or in progress.
• ADR licence for class 3 in tanks; training provided.
• Driver CPC and Tacho Card required.
• Knowledge of fuels industry is preferred.
• Good numerical and literacy skills are essential.
• Experience with IT data entry and reporting (Outlook/Excel).
• Knowledge/experience of working Airside at a large UK airport is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are located, fuel levels checked and topped up as per schedule.
• Manually record volumes dispensed, vehicle IDs and relevant meters.
• Populate weekly/monthly refuelling records in Excel format.
• Manage and update equipment refuelling schedule.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Airport Energy team as a GSE refuelling technician checking and replenishing Diesel and HVO for Ground Service Equipment at Heathrow airport. Your opportunity

As a GSE refuelling technician checking and replenishing Diesel and HVO you will work alongside a team of GSE refuelers currently delivering a ground fuels service to ground services equipment, you will be supporting the effective and safe distribution of fuels and of both airside and landside operations to exceed Customer expectations through achieving both the maximum level of productivity and compliance.

SHIFT PATTERN

41 hours 40 minutes, 4 on 4 off (10 hours 25 minutes) nightshifts (inclusive of minimum daily breaks)

Role and responsibilities include

• With safety as the overall paramount consideration, you will ensure the following duties are completed:
• All vehicles as per schedule are located, levels checked and topped up with the correct fuel (Diesel or HVO)
• Manually record volumes dispensed, vehicle id’s and where required vehicle mileages/hours meters.
• Populate weekly/monthly records sheets in excel format.
• Manage and update equipment refuelling schedule.

Skills and attributes required:

• Class 2 HGV licence
• ADR Licence for class 3 in tanks (training provided)
• Driver CPC
• Driver Tacho Card
• Knowledge of fuels industry - Preferable
• Good level of numerical and literacy skills
• Ability to use IT based systems, MS Outlook or similar to input and extract data
• Knowledge and experience of working Airside in the critical area at any Large UK airport
