Clyde & Co in Manchester is seeking a Junior Associate to join our catastrophic injury and large loss team. You will contribute to high-value motor, EL/PL and indemnity matters, with opportunities to take on increasingly complex tasks as you progress.

We value a determined, adaptable approach and experience in defendant litigation; transferable skills from claimant environments will also be considered. You will work closely with insurers and self-insured clients, developing technical expertise

Qualifikationen

• Experience in personal injury litigation.
• An interest in complex legal issues and a commitment to developing knowledge.
• A strong focus on delivering professional client service and meeting client SLA/MI requirements.

Aufgaben

• Work with insurers and self-insured entities to manage large loss matters.
• Assist with motor, EL/PL and indemnity large loss caseloads.
• Conduct investigations, liaise with live defenders, take witness statements and review medical records and reports.
• Identify evidence requirements and obtain documents from claimant representatives.
• Comply with client reporting, reserving, SLA and MI requirements.
• Manage files effectively, including preparing initial and updated reports and correspondence.
• Attend court and pre-trial meetings and comply with court timetables.
• Support senior lawyers in servicing existing clients, developing new business and maintaining client relationships through technical excellence.
• Draft legal documents and client advice.
• Handle interlocutory proceedings, CMCs and client meetings.
• Support marketing and business development activity across the team and Clyde & Co Casualty group.
