Job Title: Growth Marketing Manager (P/T)

Location: Fully Remote (but live within 90 mins of London)

Type: Part-time (2–3 days per week – can be creative)

Reports to: Founder

Vertical Drop is a London-based podcast studio and agency helping ambitious founders, individuals, brands and businesses create standout podcasts that fuel inbound demand.

From strategy and recording to editing, distribution, and growth — we handle the full podcasting journey on behalf of a growing set of amazing clients.

As we grow, we’re now looking to hire a Growth Marketing Manager to help us bring in new clients through smart marketing, strategic networking and referral-driven sales.

This person will own all things top-of-the-funnel – including our website (which needs rebuilding). We need a new brand (obvs.). We need a lot of stuff. And we don’t have a lot of money (just yet) so you’ll need to be used to doing a lot with a little.

Like your grandma did with her famous lemon cake, only the lemon cake is podcasts and your grandma is a mad guy from Stoke.

Role Overview

  • This is a flexible, high-impact role for someone who thrives on connecting with people, spotting opportunities, and turning conversations into clients. You’ll focus on generating new leads to help Vertical Drop on become the go-to podcast agency in the UK.
  • You will ideally have a background with digital marketing, PPC and SEO and be obsessed about how AI can 10x GTM motions for 0.1x the cost
  • Results-focussed, you will work from the sale, backwards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the charge on new customer aqquisition - targeting individuals, brands and businesses ready to launch their own podcast.
  • Generate leads through networking, events, partnerships, referrals, and organic marketing.
  • Build and maintain a warm pipeline of leads through a CRM or lead tracking system
  • Design sales materials, case studies, proposals, and client onboarding using platforms such as Gamma, Canva, Beautiful.ai and more
  • Help develop and manage referral programs with creators, agencies, consultants and freelancers.
  • Work closely with the Founder on growth experiments and outreach campaigns.

Requirements

  • X years of experience (X could be a little or loads, but you’ll need to be proper self-sufficient) in growth marketing — preferably within creative services, recruitment, media, or B2B marketing.
  • A strong network in theU K recruitment, tech, startup, creative or brand communities
  • Proven ability to self-manage and deliver results
  • Strong communication skills and a natural connector
  • A natural self-starter with a high-agency, bias-to-action mentality.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in podcasting, media production, or working with creators and agencies.
  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Pipedrive, Notion, or similar CRMs.
  • Bonus: You host (or have hosted) a podcast yourself or have helped someone else launch one.
