Job summary

CRA Consulting is supporting a fast-growing Bradford-based service business by appointing an experienced Management Accountant to own the management accounting process and support growth through acquisitions.

Reporting to the senior finance team, you will produce monthly management accounts, detailed P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, with commentary to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA credentials.
• Experience producing monthly management accounts from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.
• Commercial mindset with experience in fast-growing businesses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Produce P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Provide meaningful commentary and insight into financial performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Work with operational and commercial teams to understand performance.
• Investigate variances and identify profitability improvements.
• Support integration and reporting of acquired businesses.
• Improve and streamline management accounting processes and controls.
• Assist with year-end accounts and audits.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to senior management.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the finance function.
