Early Years Academy is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner for a welcoming day nursery in Southmead, Bristol. You will provide high-quality childcare and early education for babies, toddlers and preschool children, following the EYFS framework.

You will plan engaging activities, promote language and social development, and work with a supportive team to create a safe, nurturing environment. DBS checks and references will be required as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
• Good understanding of the EYFS.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
• Ability to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality childcare and early education for babies, toddlers and preschool children.
• Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS.
• Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities.
• Encourage children’s communication, confidence and independence through play.
• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Observe and record children’s progress and development.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies.
• Collaborate with the nursery team to maintain high standards of childcare.
