Job summary

Early Years Academy is recruiting a qualified Nursery Practitioner for a day nursery in Totterdown, Bristol. You will provide high-quality childcare for babies, toddlers and preschool children and support development in line with EYFS.

The role requires a Level 2/3 in childcare, excellent communication and teamwork, and a caring, patient approach. Salary up to £30,000 per annum, with opportunities for professional development and progression.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
• Good understanding of the EYFS.
• Passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality childcare and early education for babies, toddlers and preschool children.
• Support children's learning and development in line with EYFS.
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Encourage children's communication, confidence, independence and social development.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive nursery environment.
• Observe and support children's individual learning and development.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies.
• Work collaboratively with the nursery team to deliver excellent childcare.
