Job summary

Rutherford Briant, an established Bournemouth-based accountancy practice, seeks a commercially minded Director to lead the office, grow revenues and develop the team. You will inherit a strong accounts portfolio with Tax services and OMB client base, drive business development, and expand the firm’s presence across Bournemouth and Dorset, backed by firm‑wide support.

Qualifications

ACA, ACCA qualification or equivalent.
Current practising certificate enabling signing off client work.

Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for leadership, performance and commercial growth of the Bournemouth office.
Manage and develop a team of three, creating direction and a collaborative culture.
Lead and develop an established portfolio of accounts, Personal Tax and OMB clients.
Review and sign off client work while maintaining high technical and service standards.
Drive business development to broaden the client base and deliver revenue growth.
Build relationships across Bournemouth and the Dorset business community.
Recruit and develop additional team members as the office grows.
