Job summary

Maven Capital Partners is seeking an Investment Manager to join our Reading or Reigate team. You will identify, appraise and partner with high growth businesses in the South East, supporting growth capital investments from £500,000 up to £5 million across sectors.

The role offers a dynamic environment in a leading UK private equity house with exposure to investment and portfolio management, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ relevant work experience in venture investing or similar.
• Experience across venture investing, corporate finance, SME funding, or strategy consulting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate new investment opportunities and deal flow.
• Support deal tracking and coordination within the team.
• Attend management presentations and meetings.
• Prepare investment papers and financial analyses.
• Assist in term sheet negotiation and due diligence.
• Maintain relationships with investee companies and stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio performance and cash needs.
