Job summary

Binnies is seeking a Services & Operations Director for its Flood, Coast & Environment business. The role offers remote or hybrid working with UK site visits as required, and leads across EIA, Ecology, Landscape and Water & Catchments.

The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, balance commercial acumen with sustainability goals, and strengthen client relationships to support growth and resilience of multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Operating at senior leadership level with strong strategic oversight.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive delivery excellence.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Ability to build client relationships and support growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, inclusive leadership across FCE, championing high standards of health, safety, wellbeing, quality and sustainability.
• Oversee resource planning, utilization and capacity across FCE ensuring efficient delivery.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning with commercial decision-making.
• Drive growth strategy, pursue strategic bids and new services to support expansion.
• Develop governance, systems and dashboards to improve project management and reporting.
• Ensure strong supply chain resilience and service quality across Environmental services.
