Job summary

Binnies seeks a Director of Process Technology to lead UK process engineering, shape technical direction and drive excellence. You will head the Process Technology team, grow client relationships, and position Binnies as a market leader in water and wastewater solutions.

The role combines technical leadership, people development, and business growth across multi-site projects, with remote or hybrid working flexibility and travel to UK sites as required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading multidisciplinary process engineering teams within the UK water/environmental sector.
• Technical expertise in water and wastewater treatment process design, optimisation and delivery.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting business development and building client relationships.
• Proven track record driving technical excellence, innovation, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the strategic vision for Process Technology aligned with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership across water and wastewater treatment, biosolids, resource recovery and industrial process techs.
• Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing Process Engineering team including recruitment and succession planning.
• Drive engineering standards, design guidance, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Ensure governance, risk management and resource utilization across projects with leadership team.
