Job summary

Diocese of Ely is launching a Growing Younger pilot, seeking a proactive Growing Younger Hub Partner to help develop a Flourishing Worshipping Community centred on under-18s. The role involves journeying with the Hub Church and volunteers to grow ministry with children, young people and families, and to support local contexts.

The post is full-time, fixed-term for 2 years, based in Ely with travel across the Diocese; application deadline 12 noon, Monday 30 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Evidence of leading and growing ministry with under-18s.
• Ability to inspire, coach and develop volunteers and local leaders.
• Strong relationship-building, collaborative mindset and adaptability.
• Understanding safeguarding and creating healthy church culture.

Responsibilities

• Journey with the Hub Church and provide targeted support to develop sustainable ministry for children, young people and families.
• Support volunteers and local leaders to implement Flourishing Worshipping Community initiatives.
• Work across various church traditions to enable growth of local contexts.
• Contribute to ongoing reflection, encouragement and development across the Diocese.
