Job summary

LHC Procurement Group in the UK is seeking a credible technical leader to drive energy efficiency, decarbonisation and retrofit frameworks across public sector bodies. You will shape standards, strategies and procurement criteria to deliver sustainable buildings nationwide.

You’ll lead the development of frameworks, advise on energy performance, monitor funding opportunities and represent LHCPG at industry events, helping public bodies maximise retrofit investments and Net Zero progress.

Qualifications

  • Built environment professional with deep knowledge of energy performance and decarbonisation.
  • Experience in retrofit delivery and stakeholder management.
  • Technical qualification related to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and evolution of energy efficiency and retrofit frameworks for the public sector.
  • Provide strategic technical leadership on retrofit, decarbonisation and Net Zero initiatives.
  • Advise colleagues, clients and suppliers on energy performance and sustainability solutions.
  • Monitor and interpret government funding opportunities and help maximise retrofit investments.
  • Represent LHCPG at industry events and working groups to strengthen the organisation’s reputation.
  • Develop technical specifications, performance standards and procurement criteria with measurable outcomes.

We're now looking for a highly credible technical leader to drive our energy efficiency, decarbonisation and retrofit frameworks.

This is more than a technical role.

You’ll be the subject matter expert behind the frameworks, standards and strategies that help public sector organisations tackle some of the UK's biggest built environment challenges. From shaping innovative procurement solutions to advising on funding opportunities and emerging legislation, you'll play a key role in influencing how sustainable buildings are delivered nationwide.

What you'll be doing

You’ll lead the development and evolution of our energy efficiency and retrofit frameworks, ensuring they remain innovative, compliant and aligned with market needs.

You’ll Also
  • Provide strategic technical leadership on retrofit, decarbonisation and Net Zero initiatives
  • Act as a trusted advisor to colleagues, clients and suppliers on energy performance and sustainability solutions
  • Monitor and interpret government funding opportunities, helping organisations maximise investment in retrofit and decarbonisation programmes
  • Represent LHC Procurement Group at industry events, conferences and working groups, strengthening our reputation as a leading voice in the sector
  • Support the development of technical specifications, performance standards and procurement criteria that deliver measurable outcomes for public sector clients
About You

You're an experienced built environment professional with a strong track record in energy efficiency, retrofit or sustainability-led improvement programmes.

You'll Bring
  • Deep technical knowledge of building energy performance and carbon reduction
  • Practical understanding of retrofit delivery, construction projects and stakeholder management
  • PAS 2035/2038 qualifications and experiencewith a technical qualification related to energy efficiency and sustainability
  • The confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders and represent an organisation externally
  • A passion for innovation and helping shape the future of sustainable procurement and building improvement
