Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Group Tax Manager to join a collaborative tax team within a large, listed retail group. You will support Direct and Indirect Tax, including compliance, reporting and advisory work, with exposure to multiple tax areas.

You’ll manage VAT and corporate tax returns, tax accounting, and continuous improvement of processes, while developing leadership skills in an in-house setting. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) with experience in Direct or Indirect Tax.
• Strong technical knowledge in corporate tax and VAT.
• Experience preparing or reviewing tax returns and tax accounting.

Responsibilities

• Review and submit UK and overseas corporation tax returns with Senior Direct Tax Manager.
• Review and submit UK and overseas VAT returns with Senior Indirect Tax Manager.
• Support tax accounting and disclosures for group and entity reporting.
