Job summary

Halfords seeks a Group Tax Manager to lead a small tax team within a large, listed group, supporting direct and indirect tax including compliance, reporting and advisory work. You will work with the Senior Direct and Indirect Tax Managers and line-manage a Tax Analyst, gaining exposure across international tax matters.

You’ll contribute to audits, tax technology, and process improvements while developing leadership and commercial knowledge in a complex business.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional with ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent.
• Experience in direct or indirect tax with willingness to broaden across other areas.
• Experience preparing or reviewing tax returns, tax accounting, or VAT returns.

Responsibilities

• Review and submission of UK and overseas corporation tax returns.
• Review and submission of UK and overseas VAT returns.
• Assist with tax accounting and disclosures for group reporting.
