Group Tax Manager

Location: London

Reporting to: Head of Group Tax

Role Overview

As Group Tax Manager, you will lead all aspects of tax reporting and compliance across the Group. You will support tax-related projects, contribute to strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in tax systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead tax reporting for group statutory financial statements (interim and year-end).
2. Manage tax compliance activities in the UK, Mauritius, and UAE, including tax returns and payments.
3. Support tax-related aspects of group projects and strategic initiatives.
4. Handle tax audits and enquiries, including liaising with tax authorities.
5. Lead process and technology improvements for timely, accurate tax reporting.
6. Conduct tax due diligence and assess structuring opportunities for new markets.
7. Coordinate tax inputs for financial modelling and IFRS-compliant disclosures.
8. Develop and enhance internal procedures for efficient tax operations.
9. Support the implementation of tax functions in new operating markets.

Candidate Profile

Required:

1. Degree-qualified with a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or Chartered Tax Advisor).
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in taxation/finance, with at least 1–2 years post-qualification.
3. Strong understanding of international tax, tax accounting, and group reporting under IFRS.
4. Background in a Big 4 firm or within the tax/finance function of a listed company.
5. Working knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and withholding tax.
6. Proficiency in French.
7. Experience with stakeholders and project management.
8. Exposure to KPI reporting and business consulting.
