Job summary

D R Newitt Recruitment is seeking a Group SHEQ Manager to drive Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards across multiple manufacturing and warehousing sites. This pivotal leadership role requires shaping compliance strategy and driving continuous improvement across operations.

The ideal candidate will lead cross‑functional teams, manage audits and risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast‑growing FMCG environment. NEBOSH qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading SHEQ, safety and compliance across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proven track record managing audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent higher qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SHEQ policies, procedures and management systems across multiple sites.
• Take ownership of ISO management systems, certification requirements and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and quality regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections and incident investigations.
• Oversee accident reporting, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality and operational compliance.
• Lead teams across Health & Safety, Quality and Compliance.
