enfinium is seeking a Group Senior Engineer (Electrical) to lead electrical engineering across our UK assets, ensuring health, reliability and future resilience of the electrical infrastructure. You will drive asset strategy, support grid connections, oversee studies and risk assessments, and lead cross-functional teams from concept to operations, with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation.

Qualifications

• Degree (ideally a Master's) in Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 7.
• Chartered status with a recognised professional engineering body.
• Proven experience as a senior electrical engineer – ideally in the power generation or energy-from-waste sector.
• Deep understanding of electrical power systems, public grid connections, and transmission infrastructure.
• Demonstrable experience across the full project lifecycle – from feasibility to operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A collaborative, forward-thinking mindset with a passion for sustainability and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Champion electrical engineering best practices across enfinium – acting as our technical authority.
• Lead electrical asset strategy, ensuring optimal reliability, performance, and safety.
• Drive innovation by introducing new technologies and mitigating risk in existing systems.
• Support grid connection strategy and ensuring compliance with grid codes and standards.
• Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver engineering solutions from concept through to operations.
• Lead engineering studies, risk assessments, and root cause analyses.
• Influence the design and commissioning of new assets, embedding learning and resilience.
• Support the development of emerging technologies such as carbon capture and hydrogen systems.
