Job summary

Arena Racing Company is seeking a Group Safety Compliance Manager to support the Group Health & Safety Director across ARC sites, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors and contractors in line with health and safety legislation.

You will manage audits, action plans and training programmes, oversee licensing compliance and contribute to policy development and risk management across the group.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certification desirable or currently pursuit.
• IOSH Managing Safely desirable.
• Computer literate and proficient in common software.
• Experience in budgeting and team management.
• Procurement, tendering and contracting experience.
• Experience in a Racecourse, Sport, Education, Leisure, licensing or hotel setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Group Health & Safety Director in reviewing, developing and implementing health and safety management and training across ARC sites.
• Manage, schedule and maintain records of safety audits and action plans; ensure timely resourcing and follow-up.
• Oversee safety training for internal staff and expand external training opportunities.
• Provide monthly H&S reports to the Director for Board reporting.
• Oversee alcohol licences ensuring compliance and DPS appointments are current.
• Maintain safety training licences (Highfield, SFJ) as per signed conditions.
• Review, modify and implement policies in line with changes.
• Liaise with insurers to track claims and reduce risk and share lessons learned.
