Job summary

Doncaster Racecourse is seeking a Group Safety Compliance Manager to support the Health & Safety Director by coordinating audits, training and policy updates across ARC sites. You will manage risk reduction actions, supplier tendering, and safety compliance programmes to protect employees, visitors and contractors.

In this role you will oversee alcohol licences, maintain training licences, produce monthly safety reports and drive continuous improvement across a diverse leisure and events

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certification desirable (or working towards).
• IOSH Managing Safely desirable.
• Computer literate and proficient with standard software.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and financial controls.
• Experience of procurement, tendering and contracting.
• Experience of managing people and facilities in a Racecourse, Sport, Education, Leisure, licencing or hotel environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking audits across the estate and monitoring the completion of actions arising from audits.
• Ensuring effective close out of corrective actions, open incident reports, and tracking progress of compliance.
• Providing monthly reports to the H&S Director for inclusion in Board reports.
• Developing and overseeing Safety compliance training across the Group including managing external training services.
• Overseeing alcohol licences, ensuring compliance and DPS appointments are current.
• Ensuring the Training Academy’s Highfield, SFJ and other licences are maintained as per sign‑ups.
• Reviewing, modifying and implementing company policies and procedural updates in line with changes.
• Liaising with insurers to track claims and communicate lessons learned.
