Job summary

McLaren Racing is hiring a Health & Safety specialist to drive policy compliance, lead inspections and risk assessments, and provide practical advice across site operations. You will develop COSHH, DSEAR, DSE, manual handling, noise and fire safety assessments, lead incident investigations with root-cause analysis, and deliver training to strengthen safety culture.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate required.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety law and its practical use.
• Experience in a Health and Safety role within manufacturing or high risk environments.
• Experience leading inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent IT and reporting using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive compliance with Health & Safety policy and legal requirements across operations.
• Lead workplace inspections, audits and Safety Observation Tours with timely actions.
• Develop and maintain risk assessments including COSHH, DSEAR, DSE and manual handling.
• Provide practical Health & Safety advice across site operations.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, campaigns and team briefings to strengthen safety culture.
• Develop and deliver Health & Safety training including COSHH and fire safety.
• Coordinate with external training providers and maintain records.
• Record inspections, audits and incidents accurately.
• Support environmental monitoring and emergency preparedness activities.
• Monitor contractor safety and identify trends for continuous improvement.
• Provide structured reporting on risks, trends and improvement actions.
