Job summary

Campbell Grove Talent is partnering with a PE-backed group with a UK head office in York to recruit a Group Reporting Accountant. You will work on group reporting, IFRS, and acquisition accounting within a growing European footprint.

This role suits an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant moving from Practice into Industry, who enjoys technical accounting, detail, and learning how a business operates beyond the numbers.

• Strong grounding in financial reporting and technical accounting.
• Interest in IFRS and development of acquisition accounting experience.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support group financial reporting in line with IFRS.
• Contribute to technical accounting matters and complex reporting issues.
• Support acquisition accounting as the group grows.
• Assist with statutory accounts and other financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues across the UK and Europe.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and financial controls.
• Support the wider finance team and learn the commercial aspects of the business.

We’re working with a growing, PE backed group with a European presence and a UK head office in York, who are looking to recruit a Group Reporting Accountant.

This is a great opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who enjoys the technical side of accounting, likes getting into the detail and wants to apply their knowledge within a growing business.

You’ll gain exposure to complex group reporting, IFRS and acquisition accounting, working alongside experienced finance professionals and developing your understanding of how a business operates beyond the numbers.

What will you be doing?

• Preparing and supporting group financial reporting in line with relevant accounting standards, including IFRS.
• Getting involved in technical accounting matters and complex reporting issues.
• Supporting acquisition accounting as the group continues to grow.
• Assisting with statutory accounts and other financial reporting requirements.
• Working with finance colleagues across the UK and Europe.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and financial controls.
• Supporting the wider finance team and learning more about the commercial side of the business.

What are we looking for?

• ACA or ACCA qualified, currently working in Practice.
• A strong grounding in financial reporting and technical accounting.
• Someone who enjoys the detail and wants to understand the why behind the numbers.
• An interest in IFRS and developing experience in acquisition accounting.
• A curious, analytical approach and the desire to learn.
• Someone ready to make their first move into Industry and build on their technical experience.
