Travelodge is seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to support external financial reporting, statutory accounts, tax and month-end accounting. You will work closely with the Group Reporting Manager and finance teams to own a varied portfolio, including journals, reconciliations and consolidation of overseas entities.
You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent, with experience in financial reporting, and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
Are you a newly qualified chartered accountant ready to take your next step into industry? Do you want to build on your practice experience in a role where you can broaden your financial reporting expertise and make a real impact? If yes, our Group Reporting Accountant position might be the right next move for you.
As our Group Reporting Accountant, you’ll play an important role in supporting the production of Travelodge’s external financial reporting, giving you the opportunity to gain valuable experience across group reporting, statutory accounts, tax, audits and month-end financial accounting.
Working closely with our Group Reporting Manager and the wider Financial Control and CFO teams, you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of responsibilities, from preparing journals, reconciliations and management accounts to supporting VAT and corporation tax returns, statutory audits and the consolidation of our overseas entities. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your leadership experience, with a Balance Sheet Control Accountant reporting into you.
Based at our Support Centre, this is a great opportunity if you’re making your first move from practice and want a role that will give you broad commercial exposure, continued development and the chance to be part of a collaborative finance team.
You’ll be ACA qualified, although ACCA or CIMA qualifications will also be considered. You’ll have experience in financial accounting or reporting, gained either within practice or a multi-site organisation.
You’ll be detail-focused, proactive and adaptable, with the confidence to take on new challenges and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. You’ll be comfortable constructively challenging the status quo and spotting opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
At Travelodge, we’re more than just a Hotel brand; we’re a community where you can truly be yourself and belong. Through our "Better Me" initiative, we prioritise your total wellbeing—emotional, physical, financial, and professional—while actively celebrating the diversity that makes our teams stronger. If you’re a results-driven individual who pays attention to the little things and genuinely cares about people, you’ll fit right in.
