Job summary

Legal & General (L&G) is seeking a Claims Team Manager to lead a talented group of Claim Specialists within Group Protection Claims, delivering proactive, high-quality service and outstanding customer outcomes.

You will align team objectives with departmental goals, monitor performance, recruit and develop colleagues, and oversee claim decisions with compliance and data protection in mind, shaping service delivery across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing teams in a service-driven environment.
• Understanding of risk, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret data and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a team of Claim Specialists to deliver a proactive and high-quality claims service
• Aligning team objectives with departmental goals, service levels and performance targets
• Monitoring performance using management information and responding to trends and changes
• Recruiting, developing and supporting colleagues to build capability and maintain service excellence
• Overseeing claims assessment and decision making, including authorising payments within agreed limits
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, intermediaries and stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and internal policies including data protection requirements
• Driving continuous improvement by identifying themes, resolving issues and enhancing processes
