Job summary

BBF Limited, Blackburn-based, is a leading UK ambient cake and chilled dessert manufacturer. The Group Project Engineer will coordinate the technical and managerial activities to deliver engineering projects across the Group, driving performance and fulfil business requirements.

You will identify and prioritise projects with Senior Leadership, develop the 3-year automation strategy, evaluate scope and timelines, and ensure proper planning, budgets, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Prince2 (or similar) Project Management qualification.
• Exceptional communication with stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to coordinate multiple activities.
• Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, select, and prioritise projects based on business strategy.
• Develop the 3-year automation strategy with Senior Leadership.
• Evaluate technical requirements, project scope, and timelines.
• Ensure robust project planning, resources, responsibilities, constraints, and risk management.
• Continually review and update project budgets as necessary.
• Coordinate and provide direction for project teams.
• Communicate project progress and deliverables to stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with procedures.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and respond to issues.
