Job Description
Procurement
  • Drive commercial and added value benefits through negotiation of best value Group Frameworks / Agreements aligned with the Group Supply Chain Strategy, including: Preferred Supplier Agreements (PSA), Plant Agreements (PA), Preferred Manufacturer Agreements (PMA), Third Party Agreements (TPA), Sub-Contractor Frameworks (SCF), Blue Collar Agency Recruitment, Permanent Recruitment, and Consultants.
  • Make recommendations and business cases to the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, Director, and other stakeholders for new group agreements and frameworks, including data presentation and recommendation papers.
  • Ensure products procured via Group Frameworks comply with all legislative/statutory requirements.
  • Develop and execute contracts with key supply chain partners identified as best value via strategic procurement process.
  • Manage strategic relationships with key supply chain partners through regular review sessions, supporting BU stakeholders to improve quality and service levels.
  • Monitor frameworks at a strategic level to ensure adherence, addressing slippage with supply chain and business units.
  • Work with business units to maximize and recover rebate opportunities.
  • Liaise between business units and suppliers to maximize value, innovation, and savings.
  • Represent procurement in PMO activities, including dashboard development.
  • Manage rebate payment applications and coordinate with finance to ensure timely payments.
Supply Chain
  • Develop and align the Sub-Contractor Database with third-party data sources.
  • Analyze data sources, identify trends, and communicate insights for risk management and improvement opportunities.
  • Embed performance measurement processes focusing on metrics like CR, %NR, Programme, Financial Health, Safety, Environmental, ESG, and subjective project team scores.
  • Link performance metrics with supply chain databases and dashboards to provide early warnings and opportunities.
  • Lead strategic supply chain engagement through social media, events, and recognition programs.
  • Implement a formalized performance improvement process aligned with maturity and relationship metrics.
  • Assess and improve supply chain maturity concerning ESG.
  • Drive innovation by aligning group businesses with supply chain innovations and developing business cases for new solutions.
General
  • Proactively identify supply and demand pressures, sharing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Issue Procurement & Supply Chain Advice Notes to the Group.
  • Seek opportunities to add value and enhance efficiency.
  • Promote process automation and data utilization within teams and across the business.
  • Participate in strategic projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed a best value procurement culture.
  • Engage all parts of the business to support mutual objectives.
  • Support procurement and supply chain integration for new acquisitions.

Qualifications
  • Over 10 years’ experience in Procurement & Supply Chain roles within the Construction sector, with additional sector experience preferred.
  • Construction and/or Business-related Qualifications, including NVQ, BSc, BA, MSc.
  • MCIPS certification.
